This is rather fantastic! It's very slightly too echoey for my personal tastes, but other than that, I have no real gripes with this arrangement!

I have only one gripe with this, but it's probably just my tastes alone. To me, the bass seems just a wee bit too pervasive with how booming it is.

Other than that, well done ^_^ I can't believe I haven't touched this song yet

Pretty much exactly what I figured Emerald Hill sounded like in HD lol

Not much to really say about this; it's Big Blue done really well in 8-Bit. What CAN you say about something as glorious and self explanatory as this?

You know, I never actually appreciated this song that much. After hearing this mix, I see just how much potential this song could have in any way it's shaped. I love the way the song "whined" at places like 2:30. Considering the fact that not all songs work out well in chiptune, this was fantastically done.

People claim that Suwako has the worst Extra Stage Theme.

I think you've proved them pretty damn wrong.

I salute you!

Compared to the original, this version seems more... Serial Killery? XD
But yeah, it seems just more sad than the original. Which I love. You've pretty much captured the essence of what any Touhou song is about, fan made or not. It's the emotions that describe who these characters are and what they're capable of. For that, you have my respect, sir. Finely done. You've written a story that I would like to hear more of.

Pardon the late response.

I thank you for taking the time to write a comment, as I most certainly appreciate your thoughts. To be frank, I did not expect:

"It's the emotions that describe who these characters are and what they're capable of... finely done. "

I don't believe myself to have any sort of capacity for emotion. I have feelings, that is to me, the basic sensations which arrive from some stimulus, but nothing I could claim as indicators for concepts such as joy, anger, and, in this case, sadness. When I make music, intuition and logic are my ways of knowing. To hear, then, that I could convey emotions without having any (recognized) personal acquaintance with it is a curious idea, to say the least.

As for the story, I do plan to make my own music/illustration project for my own intellectual purposes. I'll certainly look at this piece again to unravel the creative processes that I was not aware of during this arrangement's creation, since I also would like to know my story.

Again, you have my gratitude. I am unable to express the extent to which this comment has mentally excited me.

Peace.

Well, I'm glad ParagonX9 left on such a high note (literally?), because this and Red 13 are two of my most favorite songs X9 has done.

I love how it sounds like a guitar battle, with the panning of the guitars and all.

My Goal: Remastering older video game tracks to sound softer, more "dream-like". I mainly do Touhou tracks, because they just fit my style the best. The series I cover most often after Touhou would be Castlevania, since I enjoy its music quite a bit.
